Thank You

I created this card using the Stippled Blossoms stamps.  I love this set; it creates beautiful flowers with so little effort.  The lighter background color is stamped first, then the details on top.  The leaves are done the same way.  Here I color coordinated the background mat with the color of the flower.

A card to say hello

Everyone likes receiving a hand made card.  The cards you receive for no other reason than to just say hello are the best.  This was a quick card created for a workshop.  I used Coordination paper embossed with the Alphabet Press folder, Burlap Ribbon, The Apothecary Accents Framelits and the Smile stamp from the Happy Day stamp set.

The coordination paper has a white center which allows you to sand or tear it to give a different effect.

Flip It Card

I created this card using the new Flip It dies from Stampin' Up.  As you pull on the front and back of the card at the same time the "HI" flips to the butterfly.

The possibilities are endless.  I have seen many different styles and can't wait to try them.

Back in the Craft Room

I am slowly returning to a normal schedule.  October 23 I had brain surgery to remove a tumor. What an experience.  Crossing my fingers we don't have to repeat that one!! After 2 days in ICU, and another in a regular room -I got to come home.

My wonderful husband stayed with me the first couple of days.  Making sure I could get around OK, fixed the meals and brought me my medication. I have had a hard time with taking things slow and being patient.  My friends knowing this - offered duct tape and several other items to help keep me off my feet.  LOL...

The second week, my mom, my sister, and my niece came to stay.  We got to spent a lot of time in the craft room.  My sister worked on scrapbook pages, mom worked on Christmas cards, and I odd and end projects.  Each day they made sure to get me out of the house even if it was just to run to the store. I am so grateful they were able to spend so much time with me. With them living in another state, we don't get a lot of time together.

Since I have 4 weeks at home and unable to drive - I get to spend all the time I want in the craft room!!  (Very Gitty about this).  I worked on some cards, a wreath, and a few odds and ends.
